2. How Does the Booking Process Work?

Booking is quick and flexible:

  • Sign up and complete your cat’s profile
  • See Your Matches First: View sitter profiles before paying.
  • Optional Intro Call: Meet your sitter before committing.
  • One-Step Booking: Pay securely and confirm care in one go.

 

3. What’s an Intro Call?
A complimentary 15–20 minute video chat to build trust, ask questions, and discuss your cat’s needs. 

4. What’s a Mingle & Greet?
An optional meeting—virtual or in-person—to observe sitter-cat interaction and review care instructions.

5. What Services Can I Book?

You can book the following cat‑only services through Feline Tails:

Stay & Play – In‑Home Cat Sitting

  • Starting price: $35 per 30‑minute visit
  • +$5 per additional cat
  • +$5 for an experienced sitter (when applicable)

We offer extended sitting visits for 1 hour, 4 hour, 8 hour time blocks as well. 

Home Away From Home – Boarding

  • $45 per day
  • +$5 per additional cat
  • +$5 for an experienced sitter (when applicable)

All service pricing is shown clearly before you confirm your booking.

 

6. What Are the Pricing Options?

Choose the option that fits how often you book:

Pay‑As‑You‑Go

  • $15 platform fee per booking
  • No monthly commitment

Standard Membership

  • $30/month
  • Includes a discount on the service booking total (not platform fees), based on booking length:
    • 0–7 days: 15% off
    • 8–29 days: 10% off
    • 30+ days: 5% off

Important:
The membership discount applies to the service cost only (sitting or boarding plus any service add‑ons such as additional cats or an experienced sitter).It does not apply to platform fees or extended booking fees.

Your discount and final total are always shown at checkout before you confirm.

7. Are There Any Hidden Fees?

No hidden fees.

At checkout, the following may apply:

  • Platform fee: $15 per booking (Pay‑As‑You‑Go only)
  • Extended booking fee: $2/day for each day beyond 5 consecutive service days
  • Payment processing fee: 3% of the total charge at checkout

All applicable fees are displayed clearly before you confirm your booking.

8. How Are Sitting and Boarding Rates Charged?

All payments are processed securely through the Feline Tails platform.

  • Service pricing is shown upfront during booking
  • After the service is completed, sitters are paid according to the platform payout schedule
  • Tips are optional, and 100% of tips go directly to the sitter

 

 9. Are Sitters Background-Checked?
Yes. Multi-step vetting, interviews, background checks, and feline-specific care training.

10. How Are Sitters Vetted?
Manual review, references, training, background checks, interviews, safety quizzes, and onboarding.

11. Is My Cat Covered by Insurance?
Yes, when booked with a verified sitter who opts into our group policy.

12. How Do I Know Your Sitters Are Trustworthy?
All sitters are manually vetted, background-checked, and trained in feline-first care.

13. How Are Sitters Rated and Reviewed?
Trust Score based on background checks, training, and client reviews. Look for badges like Verified Sitter or Top Rated.

15. Can I Pause, Downgrade, or Cancel My Membership?
Yes, anytime through your dashboard.

16. Do I Need a Membership to Book a Sitter?
No, membership is optional. Pay-As-You-Go is available.

17. How Do I Cancel or Reschedule?

  • 48+ hours: Full refund
  • 24–48 hours: 25% cancellation fee
  • <24 hours: No refund (except emergencies)

Yes, Feline Tails supports long-term sitter relationships.

Daily updates via your preferred method: photos, check-ins, notes.

 

22. What if my cat doesn’t adjust well to a sitter or new environment?

  • Try a different sitter match
  • Use the Mingle & Greet
  • Choose the right care setting
  • Monitor behavior via updates

23. How do you handle aggressive or anxious cats?

  • Owners must disclose behavioral concerns
  • Matching algorithm considers temperament
  • White Glove Sitters for high-needs cats

24. Do you support senior cats or cats with medical needs?
Yes. Experienced sitters, medication routines, mobility support, and senior support discounts.

25. What happens if I need help or something goes wrong?

28. Do sitters offer overnight house sitting?
No, but Home Away from Home boarding ( sitter boards cat in their own home) is available. 

29. How do I use my Owner Dashboard?
View upcoming and past bookings, schedule or reschedule appointments, receive reminders, and manage everything in one place.
