Step 1: Schedule a Free Intro Call
What’s an Intro Call?
A 15–20 minute complimentary video chat (via Zoom or Teams) between you and a potential sitter. It’s designed to:
- Build trust between sitter and cat owner before booking.
- Ask questions and get a feel for the sitter’s personality and experience.
- Start planning logistics and discuss your cat’s specific needs.
- Align on next steps, including scheduling a Mingle & Greet.
Step 2: Mingle & Greet (Optional, but Recommended)
Meet your sitter in person or virtually to:
- Observe how they interact with your cat.
- Walk through your home setup and routines.
- Clarify feeding, medication, and special care instructions.

What if I don’t click with the sitter?
No problem! You can schedule intro calls with other sitters until you find the right fit (free of charge)
Can I reschedule the intro call?
Yes, just use the reschedule link in your confirmation email or go back to your sitters profile on our Matches Page. There will be a button that says schedule your introduction call where you can find another time that works for you.
Is the Mingle & Greet required?
It’s optional, but we highly recommend it for a smoother experience.
Are sitters background-checked?
Yes, all sitters go through an intensive vetting process to ensure safety and professionalism. Our Feline Tails Care Team interviews each sitter on our platform to ensure they meet our standard for quality Feline care.

Do I Need a Membership to Book a Sitter?
- Pay-As-You-Go: No monthly fee, $15 per visit
- Standard Membership: $30/month + $5 per visit (up to 3 visits/month)
- No payment is collected until you choose to move forward with a sitter match and book care.
- Introductory calls are always free — they’re part of our trust-first approach.
- You can pause, downgrade, or cancel your membership anytime before your next billing cycle.
How Are Sitting and Boarding Rates Charged?
Feline Tails offers two distinct service types, each with its own pricing:
- Stay & Play (in-home visits):
\$35 per 30-minute session - Home Away from Home (boarding at sitter’s home):
\$35 per night
Add-ons may apply:
- \$5 per extra cat
- \$5 premium for sitters with 5+ years of experience
All payments — including sitting, boarding, and membership fees — are processed securely through Stripe at the time of booking. A 2.9% processing fee applies.
Feline Tails collects the full amount, deducts platform fees, and pays the sitter after service completion.
💡 Tips are optional and paid directly to the sitter. Feline Tails does not process or track tips.
How do I cancel or reschedule?
- 48+ hours before care: Full refund
- 24–48 hours: 25% cancellation fee
- <24 hours: No refund (except for verified emergencies)
Do you sitters do overnight stays?
No — Feline Tails sitters do not stay in your home. Instead, we offer a “Home Away from Home” option, where your sitter provides care in their own residence. This ensures a safe, comfortable environment for your cat while giving you peace of mind during your time away.

How do I know my sitter is trustworthy?
All Feline Tails sitters are manually vetted, background-checked, and trained in feline-first care. Only verified sittersare eligible to provide services through the platform and receive insurance coverage.
You’ll also have a Intro Call and optional Mingle & Greet before booking to ensure the right fit.
How do I receive updates during care?
Sitters provide daily updates via your preferred method, including photos and check-ins.
Is my cat covered by insurance
Insurance coverage is available only for verified sitters who opt into our group policy and follow platform guidelines. Coverage applies exclusively to bookings made through the Feline Tails platform. Sitters must complete onboarding, meet verification standards, and maintain active status to qualify.
How are sitters rated and reviewed?
Each sitter has a Trust Score based on background checks, training completion, and client reviews. Look for badges like ‘Verified Sitter’ or ‘Top Rated’ on their profile.
